Your imagination is not a luxury it’s a necessity
As a creator your soul is fueled by the wildly colorful and vivid images in your mind. What takes shape in side your brain is the blueprint of what can be created in the world.
Remove imagination from a creator and you suck the essence from their life, their soul, their raison de’etre. And then what left?
An empty shell.
A hollow crust of a person.
Imagination drives you to DO MORE. Imagination drives you to BE MORE. Imagination drives you to HAVE MORE. Imagination drives you to CREATE MORE. Imagination drives you to DREAM MORE. Imagination drives you to FEEL MORE.
Your imagination and how you use it, what you create from it can set your soul on fire and with that same spark and can light someone else up too.
Isn’t that powerful?
Using your imagination to create emotion that can change the way another human being thinks, believes, and feels?
THAT IS POWERFUL.
Rise and shine every day to use your imagination to create…
THE next scientific advancement
THE new style of art
THE book inside that is waiting to be written
THE next Hollywood movie
THE next musical expression
The world has so many inventions based on women’s imagination (or men).
Margaret Knight had 27 patents for creations in her lifetime including a rotary engine.
And then there is Melitta Bentz. We have this amazing woman to thank for creating the way we brew our cup of coffee in the morning. She invented the coffee filter system. (Gotta love this when I’m brewing my coffee in the morning!)
Katherine Blodgett a scientist and inventor created non-reflective glass, which we use for cameras, movie projectors, eyeglasses, car windshields, and computer screens.
So the next time you think spending time day dreaming and using you imagination is wasted time think again because there are so many more inventors that have had amazing impact on the way we breathe, create and live.
I used to put my imagination on hold because there way so many other things to do in the day, laundry, running my sports company, bills, meetings what ever that next thing was. And then I found myself starting to feel empty.
Colors weren’t that important.
Food tasted blah.
Nothing was interesting or exciting.
It was always hurry up and rush to the next thing and get that done. I spent no time on imagination or creating. Ever experienced that?
Where life sweeps you up and you are just trying to pack more and more stuff into you day in hopes that you can then have some time to create or daydream. But when the day is over and the bills are paid, dinner is finished and the children are in bed, you are exhausted and just want to sleep.
The day is hectic enough. But what have you accomplished for yourself during the day? You have done so much for everyone else.
And now you are tired.
No one is going to compliment you on your sandwich making abilities or laundry skills, so you are much better off creating some time in your day for imagination, journaling, dreaming of your next project, product, film or book.
Your imagination is not a luxury it is vital to how you will live today and into tomorrow.
But only you can step into the creator mindset and do the work.
You are made for MORE.
NOW is the time to go create!
